James Cary

James Cary is a BBC comedy writer (Miranda, Bluestone 42, Another Case of Milton Jones), author (Sacred Art of Joking, The Gospel According to a Sitcom Writer) and ’stand up theologian’ (Water into Wine, God, the Bible and Everything).

 

He writes a weekly blog called Cary’s Almanac.

He is also a member of the General Synod for the Diocese of Bath & Wells and is a lay representative on the Archbishops’ Council. He lives in Yeovil in Somerset with his wife and two daughters.
